Isn't this overkill?

This is football.... High School Football

And this was televised nationally by ESPNU. This is just wrong. High school football teams don't need to travel across the country to play each other, and they certainly don't need to be on national television. This just seems so contrived, based off of some completely random and basically useless national high school poll. Do we really need to turn high school sports into big business? Why can't we just leave high school sports to be king of the hill in their own little area, instead of letting this type of hype give these kids the wrong impression?

Besides, the whole nation could really care less unless you live in Miami or Southlake.
